Welcome to 2009/10!!
Welcome to all you freshers joining our brilliant society and hope all you returning students had a great summer and are ready to start the new year!!
Just a quick update on some of the plans we're already starting to make for the coming year.
We'll be kicking off the year with our usual monthly Pub Quiz on Tuesday (29th Sept) at Fluid bar on Gallowgate (if you dont know where this is you'll be able to meet the social secs outside the Hershel Building at 7pm), otherwise hope to see you all there! The quiz is 50p for members to play and £1 for non-members, with cash prizes of £30, £20 and £10 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. We have hired out the function room upstairs in Fluid where they will be keeping the happy hour prices on for us all night.
We'll be following this with our first Pub Crawl of the year a week on Monday (5th Oct). We will be meeting in Mens Bar in the Union at 7.30pm. The rest of the route will be confirmed soon so keep checking your emails or the website for updates!
A few more things we are organising for the coming year to keep all you lovely people entertained include; arranging a few guest lectures, go bowling and have another weekend away similar to Amsterdam last year. If you have any thing else you'd like us to arrange or any more idea's feel free to let a committee member know and we will try our best for you!
